Ashley represents mothers and fathers in a variety of family law matters including divorces, paternity, child custody, child support, parenting time, relocation, emancipation, adoption, enforcement and contempt issues, and protective orders.
While focusing primarily on her fast-growing family law practice, Ashley also works extensively in litigation matters, including assisting employers defending employee discrimination claims.
Ashley is the co-editor of two family law publications: Domestic Help and Family Matters. Both publications focus on family law issues including new case developments. Family Matters is a quarterly publication of the Indiana State Bar Association Family & Juvenile Law section. Domestic Help is a quarterly publication of the Allen County Bar Association Family Law section.
Ashley has been named a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers in 2015 and 2016. This is an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in their practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Indiana receive this distinction.
Ashley is trained as a collaborative family law attorney. The collaborative family law process is a unique, forward-thinking process used in family law cases. Its primary focus is peaceful, fair solutions rather than the traditional litigation based approach. This process can be extremely useful for divorcing couples with children who strive for a peaceful co-parent relationship instead of a conflict-centered divorce.
Ashley is a member of the Family Law and Executive Committee sections of the Allen County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Indiana State Bar Association.
Ashley serves on the board of directors for the Fort Wayne Derby Girls and Foster Hope for Children, LLC. She is also a member of the Modest Means committee, which established a program for reduced rate legal services for family law cases in Allen County, Indiana.
