Dennis brings more than 30 years of experience representing public and private businesses and individuals. While his roots are in M & A and tax, Dennis practices significantly in corporate governance. Dennis was previously a partner with an Am Law 100 law firm. He represented clients in significant business transactions ranging in transaction values from $1 million to amounts in excess of $100 million. Dennis has lectured on corporate governance, M & A, and tax issues both state and nation-wide, to in-house counsel, certified public accountants, and attorneys.

He is presently a member and serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Ohio Art Company and serves as a member of its Compensation and Pension (Chair) Committees. He recently completed 6 years of service as board member and Secretary of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (a $2 billion extension fund making loans worldwide) where he served on the Executive committee and as Chair of the Investment Committee managing a $400 million fund. 

Early in his career Dennis practiced as a certified public accountant and tax specialist with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) in its Washington D.C. tax office.

Dennis has been named to The Best Lawyers in America from 2007 through 2015 and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. He has been selected as an Indiana Super Lawyer numerous times over his career. 

community involvement

Dennis has served as a member and Chairman of the Board of a number of local charities including The Lutheran Foundation and Matthew 25 (a free health clinic for the uninsured). He previously served as President of the Indiana State Bar Association, Taxation Section. He has served on special committees of Indiana-Purdue University (Fort Wayne) and Georgetown University Law Center. He was awarded the Broyles Medal for his unique and significant contribution to IPFW.
