As a former human resources administrator, Mark brings a unique perspective to servicing clients. He understands firsthand the diverse challenges human resource professionals face on a daily basis.
Mark’s practice includes counseling and defending employers regarding discrimination, leave issues, wage and hour issues, retaliation, non-compete issues, affirmative action plans, I-9 compliance, worker’s compensation and unemployment. Mark represents clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies including the EEOC, DOL, Office of Federal Contract Compliance, U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Mark also helps businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of immigration law, from ensuring a legal workforce to obtaining visas. In particular, he has helped several international companies launch new business endeavors in the U.S. by providing day-to-day human resources guidance and securing visas for foreign employees.
Mark has a strong philosophy of giving back to the community in which he grew up and takes a very active role in several community organizations:
