experience

As a former human resources professional, Mark understands firsthand the diverse challenges those in human resources face on a daily basis. He applies his experience in human resources to come up with practical solutions to employment related issues that meet his clients’ needs and provide legal protection.

Mark’s practice includes counseling and defending employers in discrimination matters, leave issues, wage and hour issues, retaliation, non-compete issues, affirmative action plans, I-9 compliance, worker’s compensation and unemployment. Mark represents clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies including the EEOC, DOL, Office of Federal Contract Compliance, U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

Mark also helps businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of immigration law, from ensuring a legal workforce to obtaining visas.  In particular, he has helped several international companies launch new business endeavors in the U.S. by providing day-to-day human resources guidance and securing visas for foreign employees.

Mark has a strong philosophy of giving back to the community in which he grew up and takes a very active role in several community organizations:
